This maybe due to an issue with the database itself. I have included an article which guides on steps to take.
Please ensure that you have a backup of your database before preforming any steps.

Thanks for the response.
My issue is not that the activities will not roll over when the Act database is shut down and restarted, they do. What I want to know is if I can have them roll over each day, without having to shut down the database daily?
