Just did an upgrade from ACT! Premium 2011 to v21 and the client asked how to "enable" the "Attach to ACT! Contact" option that they were using from the outlook compose window.
>The Addins tab shows up in the main Outlook Menu Bar at the top, which includes the "Attach to ACT! Contact" option.
>However, when composing a New Message, the customer had a similar "Attach to ACT! Contact" option in the Addins tab of the Compose Window.
I did not remember an "Attach to ACT! Contact" option being on the Compose Window, and it is not there now with ACT! v21, but it was there with ACT! v2011.
The customer had been using this "Attach to ACT! Contact" option on the Compose window to "on the fly" attach an Email being Sent to a Contact record other than the Contact to whom the message is being sent.
Does anyone remember this being an option? And if so, is it still an option and if so how do you enable it.

I just wanted to come back on this - a bit obliquely as we don;t have exactly the same problem, but it is related:
We upgraded to v21 to get round the licencing issue, and found similar changes. We used to have the Add-ins tab in three views: the 'In-box' view, the 'New message' view and the 'Read message' view. For us, after the upgrade, we no longer have the Add-in tab in the Read message view, so have to return to the In-box view in order to auto-attach, or to attach the email to a specific contact.
For us, the Add-In tab is still there for the New email view. This has a more limited functionality - providing an ability to change the default attach functionality to one of the four options (usually used when a specific email is NOT to be attached to ACT) and providing a switch as to whether the attached email should be saved privately or not.
So note: In my experience, there was never an option in the 'New message' view to attach to a specific contact, but there was (and sadly no longer) in the Read message view.
I have a suspicion that this is a Win10 specific issue; one user still on Win7 still has all three views with Add-In tabs.
If there was an option to enable the Add-in tab for the read email view, our users would be very happy.
Lastly, in case it's useful, we make the ACT functions in the Add-In tab available in the Quick-access toolbar in each view, which saves a lot of time.

Thanks for your feedback on this. Attached is a Word doc with 2 screenshots:
1. ACT! v21 and Office/Outlook 2016, the Outlook New/Compose Message window DOES NOT HAVE the “Attach to ACT! Contact” icon in the Addins Tab.
2. ACT! 2011 and Office/Outlook 2013, the Outlook New/Compose Message Window the Addins Tab withthe ACT! related icons including the “Attach to ACT! Contact” icon.
Anyone know how to get this ACT!-related icons to show up in the New/Compose Message window when using ACT! v21 and Office/Outlook 2016?

Hello,
The email auto-attaches to the contact in Act! based off the To: when it sends out of the Outlook.
The icons in picture two are no longer available.
Thanks,
