Associating contacts with companies when importing

All - Just got done doing my first batch import of companies and their associated contacts. Everything appeared to go okay. The companies got imported. The contacts got imported. For some reason though, they are associated with eachother. Short of going through every single company and associating contacts manually, what can I do?

Re: Associating contacts with companies when importing

(I'm assuming you meant they are NOT associated with each other)

There are a few third-party tools that will do this.  Some consultants have these tools available so you might get in touch with an ACT! Certified Consultant to do it for you or else check these out:

CompanyMaker from ADS Programming:

http://www.adsprogramming.com/products.htm

Company CreatoR1:

If you are on ACT! 2011 you might want to check with the vendors to make sure they work with ACT! 2011 prior to purchasing.
