Altgr key not working

We are trying to use the Act 2008 Premium WEB version. However there is a problem with inputting certain characters. This does work in the client, but not in Internet Explorer. We use french keyboards. To be able to type e.g. a @, we need the AltGr key. We can still type @ in the login screen, but once logged in to Act we no longer can enter an @ sign (or any other character that requires the AltGr key). This is of course really annoying when adding contacts. Anybody any idea?
