Hi All,
having failed to get Act hosted on a terminal server to launch Word on a local machine I am now trying to get Act for Web on Internet Explorer 11 to open a Word document.
So I click Write..other doc from template....select template.. and hey presto NOTHING HAPPENS........I tried Chrome and Firefox only to find out Word is not supported......?.......
Hopefully its an easy fix and hopefully there is somone out there that can help...?....
Many thanks......

Have you downloaded the Word add-in to work with hosted Premium? Tools -> Preferences -> Word Processor (select Word) -> Download
This will only work with Internet Explorer - and make sure IE is set to Compatibility Mode.
Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for answering......
Yes the word add-in is added in and the url is set in the compatability view settings.
I can navigate all the way to a template but when I click on it nothing happens?

Do you have ACT installed on the local machine? If so, is the Word integration also in place for the local copy of ACT?
I have found that the two add-ins conflcit in some circumstances and recommend that local ACT and add-ins are all removed when accessing a hosted ACT database with integration to Outlook / Word in place.

This is how it is meant to work:

But these articles show a possible issue with a MS update

Many thanks.
Reference# 95166 decribles it very well but doesnt actually say how I can fix it?

I think it implies it was fixed in ACT 16.1 update.
