Age calculation field is not updating to current age once birthday hits

I have created age calculation fields within ACT and they are not updating when the birthday hits.

The only way to update the age would be to delete the birthdate, save the contact and the re-enter the birthday.

I am having the same problem, still no solution had thought it was the entire field but new contacts set the field fine its just existing contacts as the date reaches an aniversary

I have multiple fields none work correctly

Hello,

Can you confirm your Act! build number please. You'll find it in Help>About Act!

Re: Age calculation field is not updating to current age once birthday hits

Hi

Did anyone get an answer for this?  I have found this issue in Act! Premium Version 18.2.53.0, Update 4.  The customers Birthday has passed but the age has not changed.  If I delete the date, save and add again it will then calculate.

for example I have a customer birthday of 12/05/1916 and the age should be 101, and another that is 12/05/1944 and should be 73 2017-05-15_16h11_10.png

Thanks

Hi Damon,

Are you using the Web interface, or the desktop application?
Are there also other users of the database?
If multi-user, is it a shared DB or are you using remote DBs?

Re: Age calculation field is not updating to current age once birthday hits

Hi Gary

This is using the desktop version of Act!.  Yes there is multiple users of the database.  Is a shared database no remotes.

I had read that there is an issue if the calculated field and the source field were in different tables.  The customer had an issue where the age was not calculating at all.  We recreated the fields and all seemed good.  But now we have this issue.  I did check the database again and I can see the fields are in different tables still could this be the issue?

Customer did come back to me to say that they created 5 new age fields and none of them went to the overflow table.

Re: Age calculation field is not updating to current age once birthday hits

Hi Damon,

I seem to recall this being a theory, but i'm not sure it was ever discovered to be the true cause of the issue.

Just to confirm what your customer is experiencing:
The calculated fields were updating correctly initially, but have since stopped updating?
For the affected calculated fields, the two related fields are on the same table in the database?
