I run several client databases that are in desperate need of having their addresses updated for our direct mail campaigns. I have exported all of the data from the databases (including contact and company which will be my duplicate checker for when I reimport them) and we are paying to send them to a service to check.
The service will indicate to us which records have changed. My question is: how do I import these back into my databases so that I update the changed addresses with out deleting information from my other fields (like phone, last results) and not create any duplicate records? I'm running: ACT! by Sage Premium for Workgroups 2007 (9.0) (ST Edition) Version 220.127.116.11, Hotfix 1, and we are talking about a couple of 1,000 records.

ACT!'s import can't update specific fields without replacing the record.
You can do this with itImport - if just doing the Contacts, you can probably just use the Basic Edition
