So my boss only has time to work with me in the ACT database every so often. Her boss created groups a year ago. I was told to enter contacts and worry about the groups later. Now my boss wants the 1400 contacts into the groups. I pulled up a Look-up list today by query using "auto". I would like to put that list into the existing group Automotive. I need some help. Everything I've read says to put the contacts into groups when they're first entered. Am I reading this right? I have been sent Excel lists to use as contacts. They are random contacts. Now I want to group them.

This should be a fairly painless task rather surprisingly! You can use Dynamic Group membership to accomplish this via Ad/Remove Contact Criteria.
