We need to add a field to the history table, and add it to the columns in history list. We will input our data by an add-on to this field.
We tried to add a field through SQL server, but it is not shown in the "available fields" in the "customize columns" menu to add it to the history list.
I appreciate your suggestions.

the historytable, can by default not be altered, and working in the SQL directly will break your sync, if you have one. the only possible aproch that i could think of, is to consider the use of Custom Tables, this can be done with an addon like Table-it

Thank you very much for your reply.
As I found, the custom table fields can be shown only on contacts, companies, opportunities & groups. I need to see it in the "History List" tab.

There is an addon from www.durkincomputing.com that will also allow you to do this.
