My alarm pops up for an Activity I have scheduled with a customer. When I click on GO TO, while it takes me to that customer record, the Activity is not displayed on Activities tab. Should it not be there?

First thing I would do is check your filters on your activities tab. Sounds like you have your activitiy tab filters set too narrow.
