Act v18 with Outlook

Are there any updates coming for Act v18 to be compatible with Outlook 2016? It is still crashing on Mail Merge every single time. I'm using Act! Premium Version 18.2.53.0, Update 6 and Office updates are turned off so it has not update since November/December

Re: Act v18 with Outlook

See if you have a file at C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Windows\

named adal.dll

If so, delete it and close reopen Act! and Outlook

I do not have it in that directory. I do have it in my C:\users\appdata.... directory, and in a couple of others

Can try going to that area  such as AppData\Roaming\ACT\ACT Data\HistoryQueue
and delete any emails or xml files.  Just leave the folders.

Re: Act v18 with Outlook

The only solution I know has been posted here earlier by me::

https://community.act.com/t5/Act-Premium/1st-time-32-bit-Outlook-Service-has-stopped-since-updating-...

The only solution I know at the moment is to roll back Office to a stable build from April '17 (after having switched OFF automatic updates for Office):  16.0.7870.2038

Switch off Office update inside Office:

Create a batch file "2016_Office_UpdateTo16.0.7870.2038.bat"

with following content:

 cd %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.7870.2038

Run it "as Administrator

Re: Act v18 with Outlook

Just to add to the suggestions posted here, and going back to your original question, there are large scale updates planned to improve the Office integration coming very soon - however these will likely not be backported to v18 as they require functionality only available in newer versions.

v20.1 is targeted to resolve these ongoing Outlook issues.
