Act v18 - export history

Is there a way to export the history of the contacts from an Act v18 database?

Would you provide more information? In particular what are you wanting to export the history?

Do you need it in a file for another program? Do you need a print out? Do you need to contact information?

Maybe export it to an excel file?  We can export the contacts already just fine.

Have a look at the "History list", eventually select some more columns and use the "Excel Export" button from the list header.

Pls be aware that exporting a large number of histories might "crash" Excel out of 2 possible reasons:

1. the "Details" column might contain very large amounts of text that could exceed the max. size of an Excel cell

2. the total amount of histories in a given ACT database could exceed the max. number of lines allowed for an Excel sheet....

N.B.: exporting Contacts and Histories as 2 separate actions will not give you the possibilty to "link" them together afterwards, so if you are planing to do this as a possible prepration to import the data into another system, this is not the way.

If you need help with such an operation, it will only be possible with the help of an ACC like we are.

The tool from this link will do what you want but is not cheap. Having said that given the time it will save you it is not expensive ether.
