Act v16 Premium
Brand new installs on brand new Windows 8.1 machine
When clicking on email link in Act, Act stops responding and closes. Doesn't happen everytime. Can't determine a pattern why it works sometimes and not others. Frustructing when doing a sales demo and this happens. Any one else experiencing this or is there a resolution that I haven't found?

Have you tried the logviewer.exe in the Act! install directory, and the eventviewer? Both might give directions towards the cause. Did you try with stopped Antivirus? Did you try another database (Act14Demo for instance).
I'm curious if you get any closer...

Cindy, I had the issue as well -- worked sending emails from Outlook but not from Act!. The fix was to make sure both programs ran as administrator, and UAC was off. Hope that helps, Brenda

Did you install outlook after Act!? We've seen that cause nasty issues.
And, I can echo what Brenda posted, make sure everything is running as the administrator.
