Hello. I am having a very strange problem that Act support was no help with at all. I just freshly shared out my act, from my server, and every time a client tries to sign in the program hangs. The part that makes it even more strange, is that it doesn't crash at all and works perfectly from a different windows user account. However, the account I am on is necessary, and I cannot switch users. The server has no problem getting into act. Thanks.
Act version 22.214.171.124, Update 4
Windows 10 1909

Client/server network? I think I am being rather clear, but I don't mind explaining further if you need help understanding.
And what logs? Does act have log files somewhere I don't know about? I couldn't find one bit of information in event viewer.

Before trying permissions look at deleting the users ACT preferences
It that does not wok it could be permissions.
This is OK if there are no security issues with people seeing what is in the ACT folders when on the network
Right click the folder the ACT database is in and select Properties.
Click on Security and Edit - Click Add Everyone - Click check name and then OK
Now click on Full Control under Allow Click Apply and the OK
Start SQL and try again.

Just another possibility is that there is a message hidden somewhere waiting a response.
When it hangs hold down the Alt button and use the Tab button to see if there is something lurking and hidden from view.

After is crashes, close the Act! application and run LogViewer.exe from C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Windows
Note1: The log is wiped and recreated when you start Act!
Note2: You can click the HTML button, which opens in a browser and save it from there if you want.
If it doesn't show an error, you can increase the logging level as per - https://help.act.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024241294
