Act on terminal server

Hi All,

we are running Act 16 Premium on a Windows 2008r2 terminal server.

It’s much more useful than using the web version but I have run up against a problem with mail merge and Office.

When I do a mail merge Act tries to open Word or Outlook on the Terminal Server.

My question is if its possible for Act to open Word or Outlook and the user’s PC?

Terminal Server can see the local program folder  \\tsclient\C\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14

So there must be a file in Act that I can change it took look on the tsclient?

Many thanks.....

Re: Act on terminal server

It's not going to be able to merge Act! data across an rdp session, for the same reason you can't integrate Outlook installed client side with Act! installed, server side.

Re: Act on terminal server

ACT integrates with programs installed on the same machine as ACT.  So, for Citrix and Terminal services, you would need to install ACT and Office both on the server.
