Here's the scoop:
Users access Act Premium for Web via safari browser on iPhone/iPads
Many many custom fields in database; need to customize view settings on phone in APFW to display the custom fields.
Apple releases firmware update/patch. All safari preferences seem to be saved but the APFW custom fields need to be re-enabled, they no longer display. This is time consuming and annoying to do often, there are many many fields to pick and choose.
I understand this is a problem with Apple, but I would hate to tell the user "just dont update the device again".
Do you know of any settings or methods for permanently displaying fields in APFW? How to designate a custom field as a "primary" field?

Unfortunately, there is not a way to do this. The preferences for what fields are displayed in Act! Premium Mobile are stored in the cookies for the browser. It's likely that when the update ran, the cookies were deleted.

Thank you for the help Elise. Disappointing answer I suppose, but at least now we know.
