Act for web version 10 (2008) on Windows 2008 server.

Hi i am trying to find out if Act 2008 will work on a wiindows 2008 server when using the web protol.

We have act install on the server with MS SQL 2005 and all is fine except for the web interface part of it.

Windows 2008 uses IIS7 so i was hopeing if anyone has had any experience with getting it working with this?

Hopefully

I don't know anyone who might have tested ACT! 10 for web on Windows 2008....

Windopws 20008, like Vista, added some new security functions that has caused a lot of products to require upgrades to run fully on them. It's possible that you might need to look at upgrading to ACT! 2009, which is tested and supported there.

I have been told that it may work if you enable the IIS 6.0 Compatibility, option on Server 2008 to get it working.

You will also have to set the IIS service to 32bit mode and make sure that all the ASP, ASP.NET stuff is set correctly.
