Bought a new computer and loaded Act!for financial professionals. Everything looked like is loaded fine. Closed the program. Tried to open it back up and got the message...Act!for financial professionals has stopped working. Have uninstalled and reinstalled and still getting the same message. Any thoughts?

Most likely you will need to change the Compatibility setting to run in 'XP Mode'. Here is an article with instructions for this: KB Article 20539
