Act for financial pro

I have a new MAC book pro, can I install & run my ACT premium version 11?

Not as a native program. You would need to install Windows virtual machine to run the ACT! program.

Roy i am hoping you can assist me, i have a mac with windows 7 running fusion, all is working fine except the database i require is on the previous pc, when i back up as a zip and place on the mac with fusion it will not open, any ideas please

Not sure if you and Roy handled this offline, but if not...

 

for clarity sake:  If you are the only user of the database, then you can run an ACT! backup from the old PC.  Then copy the resulting zip file to the Win 7 virtual instance where you can find it.

 

In Act!, from the file menu, choose Restore Database.  then select Restore As and follow the requested location information...

 

this will do what needs to be done to make the ACT! database ready to run...

 

If ACT! is installed and running correctly in Fusion, than you are likely not having a problem with that.  Try opening the demo database as a test.  If you can login into that, then your ACT! installation is pretty much good to go...
