I am a very new user to Act so please be patient with me!
Currently at my workplace there are 5 of us linked to one database. We use Lotus notes as our email and have linked the ACT email to our lotus emails. (that was a feat in itself!LOL)
The problem is that on the ACT email, new messages will not show up if the inbox is open. We must close out of the inbox and go back into it in order to see new messages. The new messages appear without a problem in the lotus notes. Is there something different I should be doing?

Instead of closing/reopening ACT! Email, have you tried Ctrl-F5 to refresh?
Personally, I prefer ACT! for Lotus Notes for Lotus Notes sites
