Question, would Act! next version 2016 be compatible 100% with...

Re: Act! V17.2 Hot-Fix 0 - Windows 10

Hi Juan,

  1. Yes. Windows 10 will be certified and on our v18 system requirements
  2. Yes, same as above
  3. Unsure on this. Will check with development team and report back
  4. This error is resolved in v18. We are also working on a hotfix for v17.2 which will address it

Juanc..

Not sure what you did in ACT to get that message such as trying to email from ACT or moving files in Document Tab?

1. Turn UAC off moving slider all the way down Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\User Accounts, Change User Account Control Settings.

2. try re-registering redemption.dll, C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Windows, click on DLL drag it on to regsvr32.exe

3. Reboot PC and see if better.

If not and your not running Win10 with ACT 17.2 that which installs SQL2014, this is one of those issues time to upgrade to ACT 17.2 or stick with Windows 8.1 or 7.

I've got the same issue with an older version of Act (Pro 2013) Version 15.1.108.0. It just started after upgrading to Windows 10. It happens when I close down Act.

Another reason could be that the icon you select to open ACT! the windows properties settings are as Admin. See screen shots and steps what I mean.

Don't manually check boxes there is a Windows bug, Click on the button and Run the wizard steps. Don't check the box Admin rights.
