My users are having an issue to where Act! is switching to a random contact when they relate one contact to another. I have not been able to locate any information on this problem on any of the boards. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to recreate the issue and it appears to switch to another random
contact record within the current lookup only when creating a new contact
through the Relate Contact window. It does not switch contacts if the
current record is the only record in the lookup or if relating an existing
contact. Any advice from someone familiar with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Can you provide the version of ACT! you are running and the steps they are taking to relate the contacts? I've been unable to reproduce this result in ACT! 2011, so I need to double check the steps.
Update: I just saw your additional information and will attempt to recreate.

I was able to reproduce the results using the steps described. I have submitted this as an issue, but do not have a timeframe for resolution at this point. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

Thank you, Greg. For reference, we are running Sage ACT! Premium 2011 Version 13.0.401.0, Hot Fix 2. Please keep me updated on a solution to the problem or post to this thread. I greatly appreciate your help.
