Act Pro V20 cannot write email or mail merge

Mail Merge templates that we used in vs. 19 will not work. I have tried copy and paste to put the templates in the new database template folder, but still Mail Merge cannot find the documents.

 

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

It may be that the files are not local but in a server location of the database

What I do to identify the location of these files is ...

......  If you have only one computer, I mean ... that your computer is the one with the database or your computer is the database server ... you can also do this to identify the location of the files in your database...

I am on with Swiftpage Tech Support now. It is not as easy as you suggest. If I find out the solution, I will be happy to post.

 

It seems that when you upgrade to ACT! vs. 20, it is not enough to upgrade Outlook to 2016, you need to upgrade the entire Office suite to vs. 2016 in order to work with templates or use Act/Outlook integration and synchronization.

 

Once I upgraded my Office Manager's computer to the full Office 2016, this problem was resolved. Noone and nowhere could I find those instructions prior to upgrading, but it does make sense.
