We use Sage ACT! Premium 2012 Version 220.127.116.11 with 25 users. Act is shared on a Server running Windows Server 2008.
Everyone is having very slow response time with everything in Act. I have already checked & repaired and removed old data via the program. Should I do something in the actdiag options? Should I hire an act consultant to check our database for what is causing these slow downs?
Any advice would be appreciated.

You maybe need to Upgrade the instance ACT7 from Express to Standard, this way will be able to use the full capacity of the server in SQL Server.
Number of CPUs
Maximum memory utilized
Express: 1 GB
Standard: 64 GB
Maximum database size
Express: 10 GB
Standard: 524 PB

Small Update - the program is always slow when people are entering or entering items in the calendar. Is there any known fix to the slow response time there?
