Act! Premium Version 18.1.103.0, Update 3 - slow lookup performance

When looking up a contact it takes very long time on one workstation vs and other.  Timed the same look up on 2 different workstations, it took over 11 min for the history to load vs 13.3 sec on the different work station.  Most users are on Win 7 and on a terminal serer r2012.  Even the look up on our ACT Vm server takes longer than 2 of our 17 users.  The 2 workstations that are performing look ups quick happen to be our oldest.  All users are admins over computer as well.   ANY Suggestions?????

Make sure the viruses checking is not set to trying to dynamically examine the ACT programme on the slow machines.

 

Can also be a port open problem. Link here about that.

Update:

Slow computer 1: logged in as administrator, De-installed Act, deleted act folder in C:\program files (x86)\Act.  Rebooted and reinstalled act V18 and then ran notifications and updated to 18.1.103.0, update 3. . Speed improved immediately.  YEA!

 

Downloaded zip of 18.1.103.0,update 3 for future installs.

 

Slow computer 2: logged in as administrator, De-installed Act, deleted act folder in C:\program files (x86)\Act.  Rebooted and reinstalled act 18.1.103.0,update 3 . Speed improved immediately.  YEA!

 

Slow computer 3: logged in as administrator, De-installed Act, deleted act folder in C:\program files (x86)\Act.  Rebooted and reinstalled act 18.1.103.0,update 3 . SPEED DID NOT IMPROVE. De-installed again, used act uninstall tool, rebooted reloaded and speed improved. 

 

Slow computer 4: logged in as administrator, De-installed Act, deleted act folder in C:\program files (x86)\Act.  Rebooted and reinstalled act 18.1.103.0,update 3 . SPEED DID NOT IMPROVE. De-installed again, used act uninstall tool, rebooted reloaded and SPEED DID NOT IMPROVE

Logged in as user De-installed again, used act uninstall tool, rebooted reloaded and SPEED DID NOT IMPROVE.  When logging into act it remembered password after 2 De-installs and act uninstall tool.  I think need registry needs to be cleared.  need to do a fresh install to work correctly. 

 

I will retry another computer today and send update.
