We are running Act! Premium Version 21.0.295.0, Update 4 - shared database. My OS is Windows 7.
We recently updated to this version and have discovered some very unpleasant quirks.
First issue is when you make a change in the Company tab, you must deliberately SAVE (i.e., click 'Save Changes' icon on toolbar) or your changes will not be saved when you exit the screen. Prior ACT versions saved the change without this additional step.
Is this being fixed?

If you do the test with the DEMO database happens the same?
You can find the file ACT2019Demo.PAD in C:\Users\Public\Documents\ACT\ACT Data\Databases
Good luck and do not forget to make daily backup of your database on the server (Include the attachments and click Browse to place this backup in your Documents folder) ... and place a copy of the ZIP file in a memory USB or external disk for more security.
Best regards,

Same results with DEMO db. We can't be the only ones having this problem.

Have done more testing with Demo DB. Changes to COMPANY PROFILE do not save unless you click "save changes" prior to exiting the screen. (This action has never been required in prior versions of ACT.) For testing, I changed drop down "Territory" and also Discount field in Demo DB with same results. Changes were not saved.

Found a note somewhere that this is a known bug and will be fixed with update 6.

In a support chat with ACT, they claim to know nothing about this problem. Can you share where you found info about plans for update 6 - and what might be included in it?

It was presented as to be on the list of planned fixes during the Jan.2019 product showcase (a monthly regular webinar for ACCs).
I'm not sure whether the presentation contents are kind of "confidential" :-(

Thank you, this is helpful as it indicates ACT is aware. The support tech I chatted with yesterday wanted me to reload preferences file. I plan to try this next.
