Hello. I am sure this sitution has been answered before but I can not seem to find it anywhere. So here is whats up.
This is a small office. 2 people. They where using ACT6 on 2 XP machines. Recently one machine crashed. We bought a new machine with windows 7 on it. Of course we had to upgrade ACT to ACTpremium. I installed the new act on both machines. The windows 7 machine holds the master copy of the database. We upgraded the database, shared everything on the Windows 7 machine. The XP machine can see the windows 7 machine fine. I click to open the database up on the windows XP machine from the shared folder and ACT returns the message that the database can not be found on the local machine.
I was curious if I needed to share the database. However, on the Windows 7 machine when I go to share the database it is dimmed out.

First, you didn't need Premium... the Pro version is fine for under 10 users.
For the share issue, see this ACT! Knowledge Base article -
