Act Premium 2011 & SQL Server 2008 R2 Express and the .Net 2.0 Framework

First Time User - Any & all help is most appreciated.

I wanted to (restore as) a database just on my machine to try 2011 without disturbing other users using 2008 on a shared database.  The restore function in the file menu is grayed out.  Tech support took over my machine on three seperate occasions and have been unable to help me resolve the issue.  They kept removing and reinstalling the SQL Server.  The last tech thought it has something to do with the .Net 2.0 that is part of the windows 7 OS.

Thank you in advance

Uninstall ACT completely. Install the version of ACT that the database is using currently. Do a restore of the database, then upgrade ACT. The problem is going to be ACT itself not SQL.

I am not upgrading ACT.  It is a fresh install on a new machine.
