No it does not currently work with Office 2010. No official announcement has been made by Sage at this time.

Re: Act Premium 2010 and MS Office 2010

Might I suggest a hotfix get out on this asap.  office 2010 has been out since January 2010 to volume customers.  Retail is available the end of this month (June).  I have clients who I would like to get up on Act! 2010 premium because they are already on Simply Accounting 2010 Enterprise....all on Windows 7 64 bit.  But I loaded up Act! 2010 Premium earlier today and it will not interface with Outlook 2010 -- says it can not find a defualt email program.

So please build a fire under the team there.

ACT! 2011 which is due out around the end of August will support Office 2010 32-bit version. When (or if) ACT! 2010 will be able to  support of Office 2010 has not been announced yet.

Yeah - put another dollar in.  I already have my copy on order.  Too bad they can't make things work without upgrading once in a while.

To me, this is an unacceptable solution. I'm sure others, like myself, have invested quite a bit of money updating Operating Systems, Office and ACT only to find out the new stuff doesn't work together. Unless Sage specifies that ACT 2010 will not work with Office 2010 in thier product requirements, they better get a Hotfix out pronto! And if they prefer Happy Customers they will come out with a HotFix.

Re: Act Premium 2010 and MS Office 2010

ACT! 2010 was released late August 2009. Office 2010 didn't make the final release until June 2010. No where does ACT! 2010 indicate it does or will support Office 2010. Model designations can't be considered indication of support.

Re: Act Premium 2010 and MS Office 2010

You are correct, but nowhere in the website do they fess up to this.  I had to find it on the forum.  That's tacky.  I installed Office 2010 a couple months ago and couldn't find out why my Act address book quit working.  I also made the mistake of reinstalling ACT only to have the email link quit working.  They really should fix it.

ACT should represent that 2010 does not work with Office 2010 - not just ignore the issue and force us poor users to upgrade.  I might not have spent my $$ on Office 2010 if I had known it would break my ACT.

Re: Act Premium 2010 and MS Office 2010

I agree, Act 2010 was released 10 months before Office 2010 was released. Product names from different vendors does not guarantee compatibility. ACT 2011 will support the 32-bit version of Office 2010. It seems SAGE and Microsoft are not in agreement on the year logos...  This will cause a lot of confusion.
