Act Dialer

I am trying to set up Act Dialer and when I go to the the dialer preferences, I am unable to check the radio  button to turn dialer on. There are two boxes already checked and shaded, Hide Dialer and Start Timer. Any clues?

Try starting Act! by right clicking on the icon and selecting "Run as Administrator" and then see if the Radio buttons are available.
