Act 2012 Premium records email subject and message, yet set to record subject only

Act 2012 Premium is recording email subject and message, yet the preferences are set to record subject only?

Any suggestions

Hello Robin,
Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. There could more than one reason for this:
- If you are using a shared database, other users may have a different setting for recording email history. Also, when sending a mail, the default history recording option can be overidden from the Outlook message screen.
- If you have the Outlook rule setup to record incoming mail as well as outgoing, the incoming mail rule may be configured to record email history differently

- If you just changed the setting, this would only affect emails recorded from that point, not retroactively

Greig,

Sorry for the late reply!  Have been away.

All the local machines running remote databases are set to record email subject only and have been since 2012 premium was installed.  The server hosting the database does not have Outlook installed so no setting can be made or changed.

Act is recording the outgoing mail in full not incoming. No specific rule was ever created to change the default setting in the outlook program and effect its behavior.

Is this happening with all emails, or just some? Users also can override the default setting when sending a message, by choosing a different option from the Outlook message screen.
