We've been using Act on individual machines and decided to go for a centralized web version for data integrity purposes. We installed it on a server and created user accounts. Access via the web works fine. We have 4 licenses and each have our own set of contacts, companies and opportunities. I have administrator privleges but I am not colocated with our server. I created a MS remote desktop connection and can access the server via RDP.
Here is the problem. When I access remotely and try to do a file import of say Contacts, everything goes smoothly and completes but then there are no contacts that have been imported. I've tried it with CSV and Text files to the same end. I have even copied the CSV file to the desktop on the remote server and tried that.
Importing locally is easy. What am I missing with the remote import?
