Act! 2011 Premium Remote user (with sync)

Hello,

I've been able to create and unpack a remote database for a user.  When logging on to the database, I'm receiving a weird error message.  It says:

You have not been identified as an intended user for this remote database.  Data you can access in the main database may not be accessible in this database.

I'm not sure what this means and I didn't have any option to create a Remote Database file for a specific user.

You will get this message if, when you created the rdb, you selected one or more (not all) users of this database.

The warning basically means that you may not see all that you would be able to see in the main database since you are not a designated user of this database...that's all.

Thanks.

I just can't find the option to select a specific user ( or group of users) when the remote database file is created.

It's actually in the sync set that you set up the user.

Always a good idea to set up individual sync sets for each user even if users get all records.
