My client is using Act! 2009 Premium for Web and we determined that the server it was running on was unstable--OS Issues. I planned to reinstall Act! on a fresh install.
Given my experience with backups that don't work, I set up a VM and installed everything as described to verify the backups they had been making.
The backups include their attachments. The final Zip file was 7.7GB.
When I tried to use this file to restore the database, the application gave me a System.IndexOutOfRangeException. Ultimately I had to backup the DB by itself and copy all 8.9GB of attachments separately.
Is this a known issue as I couldn't find any info in the product KB.
