Act 2007 cannot open on server and clients can't connect to database

Hello All, This is my first time posting here, I really need help with this Act! error

 

Description: Stopped working

Problem signature:

Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: ActSage.exe

Application Version: 9.0.175.0

Application Timestamp: 44f35c82

Fault Module Name: KERNEL32.dll

Fault Module Version: 6.0.6002.19381

Fault Module Timestamp: 554d42a0

Exception Code: e0434f4d

Exception Offset: 0003fd1e

 

OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.272.7 Locale ID: 1033

 

 

Act version : Act Premium 9.x/2007.Act is installed on a MS windows Server 2008 standard and users access it over the LAN.

 

 

Backstory Act was working well, then we made some modifications to the registry to delete the runouce.b worm and since then ACT has stopped working. We've tried uninstalling and re-installing it twice.

 

On the server the error message is as above also with the Act.outlook.service has stopped working message at startup.

 

On the client machines the error message is "Database is not shared to access layouts, templates and attachments associated with the database, it must be shared. Contact database Administrator" Clients are using windows 7 PCs. Please help!! Thanks

I downloaded the hotfix (US version) from http://download.act.com/support/downloads/ACT-2007-Product-Downloads.html and installed the package and everything is back to normal! phuex!
