Access to Act database in MSSQL

In the prior version of Act I was using I would update a few fields with a standard dbf tool.

Now that I have transitioned to ACT on MSSQL I would like to do the same.   I have a tool which I think will act as front end to MSSQL but I think I need the user, password and database name to gain access.

any suggestions

If you modified the ACT! 6 database with a tool outside of ACT! 6 you were playing with fire and risking destroying your database. What you need to do is use the SDK to do that kind of modification.
