I have a 2.4GB database hosted on a Windows Server 2008 virtual box with 8GB RAM and 4 cpu cores.
After the v16 Service Pack 1 update, any database operations are miserably slow. It takes over half a minute to load ACT to the welcome page, and 40 seconds to switch to the Contacts tab.
I have run all database repairs, reindexing, etc. The server is bored. Network usage is almost idle and 70%+ RAM is free. Disk usage is also low.
Any suggestions here?
I have 6 remote database users and 7 local LAN users on a gigabit network. The remote users work fine. If I open ACT on the server and open the database, it is about 10x faster.
I built a new Server 2012 R2 box and installed SQL Standard 2008 R2, ACT v16 w sp1 and hf1. Opened from a client, still miserably slow.
