'ACTOLEDB' is not a valid login or you do not have permission......

Hi

 

I am trying to do an upgrade from ACT 2008 Premium to ACT Premium 2012.. The upgrade appeared to go fine but when I click the database to open it I get the ACTOLEDB message and it terminates opening.

 

I have tried repair which failed.

I have run SecurityCmdLnApp

I have updated to SP1

 

And still I get this message.

 

I even tried copying the database to another machine and still the same problem.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you run the database maintenance?
Did you try the repair option in ACTDIAG - especially rebuild OLEDB
Can you open the demo?
