We are using Act 10. I've found an article in knowledge base however it seems to apply to version 7? (it asks for reinstall the whole app)
Anyway, I think it caused by sa password becasue I found an message like ' login failed for user sa' when I clicked around. Is there any fix? My bottomline is not losing any data.

Is the SQL Server ACT7 service started (Start -> Run -> services.msc)?
Are you able to open a database?

Reinvigorating this thread as I am having the same error message.
The SQL Server ACT7 service is active but I am unable to open my database - I followed previous threads regarding the use of Actdiag to resolve problems but could not get up the 'Database List'.
Failure message is:
Cannot open database "BLAH" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'sa'.
Can anyone help? We use Sage Act! Pro 2013.
