ACT2011 email attachment problem browsing network

We're using ACT2011 SP1 HF4.

We just discovered that when sending an e-mail with an attachment (Act email client), the attachment is missing in the sent items folder. The mail is send but with no attachment. Attaching a file to an e-mail when browsing a mapped network share, there is no problem. But when browsing a network address (network->computers(servers) or ip address) the attachment will go missing.

This was working in previous versions.

Can you clarify:

 

The email body itself shows in "Sent" but the attachment is not in the "Sent" email?

 

Did you verify that the email is received with the attachment even if the item saved to "sent" does not have an email?

The attachment is no longer in the email when it's in the Sent items folder. The recipient doesn't receive the attachment either. Mails also pass the outbox much too quickly. A mail with a 2MB attachment normally spends at least 10 to 15 seconds in the outbox, while with this bug the mails leave in less than a second.

As said attachments added using a mapped network drive, for example: E:\Data\stuff.doc, are sent, no problem at all, however mails attached using a IP adres or computer name, for example \\SERVER\Data\stuff.doc or \\10.0.0.1\Data\Stuff.doc, do not work. We've only noticed this (and many other) problems after switching from Act 2010 Premium to 2011 Premium.

This is with the built-in email client by the way.

Act Premium 2011 - SP1 Hotfix 5 does NOT resolve this problem.
