This will apply to the local computer, not the server.

Re: ACT won't boot

Leo,

The image you attached will not display, can you provide the error message being presented?  If it is a long error, the first 2 or 3 lines should suffice.

Also, which Internet Browser program are you using?  We need to know if the attachment is an issue due to Internet Explorer 9.

Re: ACT won't boot

Thanks.

Using Firefox.

It's a long and detailed error.  I posted it on a private web page and can be viewed here > http://www.kineticweb.com/act-error-page/

It starts with "resolution of the dependency failed, type = "Act.UI.ActApp;ication", name = "." Exception message is: The current build operation (build key Build Key[Act.UI.ActApplication, null]) failed:

Re: ACT won't boot

Thanks for the information.

This error is generally a sign that the ACT! Preference files have become corrupted.  Here is an article with instructions for rebuilding the Preference files (note: use the 'Alternate Method: Manually Rebuild Preferences' method): KB Article 25865

Re: ACT won't boot

Reading the article you suggest brought up another question: is this a local preference file? We have 2 users and the DB is installed on a server.
