The day after my initial install of act 2011 premium, outlook stopped working (saying the database is locked) and I can no longer get into act. I get "The databse actdb could not be accessed" as follows. any ideas? I'm still on the trial so I gather I have not tech support.

This sounds like your 'SQL Server (ACT7)' service has been stopped. Here is an article with instructions for checking/starting the service, along with other steps that may help resolve the issue: KB Article 19640.
