A longtime ACT user in our business. Just installed Parallels on my iMac and migrated my PC over to it.
-With ACT installed, tried to launch and it hangs.
-First screen showed "New" and "Open" Database, then window goes white, upper left says (Not Responding).
-Re-installed ACT with SP1, then installed Hotfix 7
-Same thing happens at launch (hangs)
iMac OSX 10.9.2
Parallels Desktop 9 (Build 9.0.24229)
Windows 7 Pro with SP1
ACT Premium 2012 ver. 18.104.22.168
Database on Server

Glad to find another Mac user in this this community.
I guess this issue may caused by the network adapter setting of Parallels. By default, the setting is NAT or called share with my Mac. I recommend you to change it to bridged mode. To use iMac with Parallels or similar virtual machine for business, I would recommend you to connect the imac to wifi and also plug in the Ethernet cable. Then use wifi for mac os, and set parallels network to bridged mode - Enternet.
If you have questions or don't know how to do it, please post a picture of your parallels network setting. So I can explain it to you more specifically. I currently don't have parallels on this machine.

Did you install Parallels's drivers?
If the problem still exist, try turn off windows firewall.
If it is still not working after that, you can try to do a fresh windows installation instead of migratation.
