Thank you for the suggestion, ch1P.
I created a brand new database with 5 contacts and added my new database in Web Site Administration.
When I access the new database, I continue to get the same error message when I go to Contact List View.
I started again last night with a brand new installation of Server 2012 R2 and brand new installation of Act for Web v17 and I continue to have the same problem.
Any other ideas?

Can you look at the updates for V17. I notice there is another patch - HF3. Worth trying.
