I installed ACT! for web 2009 premium ex on server 2003 without any problem.
Unfortunately i do have a problem in website administration
the first tab (web server) test is failing.
The message: The asp.net proces does not exist or is not configured properly, etc.
sometimes after clicking ok i get this:
Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Parameter name: site
with holding ctrl+alt i can go to the next tab. configuration went fine and im able to access the database via internet explorer. everything seems to be working fine.
Testing the webserver in first tab tab is still a no go.
Also im not able to change the time out settings in the options tab. Default is 20 minutes and i cant change it.
i did all what is mentioned in these kb articles: 16491 + 16511 but no luck.

Without reading those referenced KB's, let me ask have you manually assigned the IP address in IIS? And under Add/Remove Windows componants, have you ensured ASP.net and IIS are properly installed? (I'm guessing you have, since it is partially working).

thanks for your reply.
aspnet and iis are correctly installed.
this webserver is only used for ACT!
i didnt assigned the ip address, the default website is set to all unassigned
but the good news is that i tried to assign the default website to a specific IP address
however the test in website admin failed with a different error, so i switched it back to all unassigned
and now the test in website administration is successfull!
maybe the web.config file wasnt correct?
unfortunately i still get this error when starting the website administartion in ACT!:
specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Paramter name: site
clicking ok and performing the test is succesfull.
im still unable to set the session time out in options tab.
i get this message:
an error occured while trying to set the web site timeout value. please try again later.

leaving everything default works fine including added 443 for https.
when i change from port 80 to 8080 the web server test fails
i use 80 for another server, like to have the web server testing on 8080
anythoughts on this, thanks inadvance
