One of my users can not log off or reboot her workstation after a new installation of ACT 2006 for workgroups. ACT8.exe is not unloading when she closes the program. Ending the process permits her to log off.
I've removed the preloader and scheduler keys but that has not helped.

Not sure if this is what you did - but check to see what is loading when you click on the icon - check the properties of the shortcut. If memory serves me correctly, make sure to change that to just act8.exe. The other way I found it would close is if you performed a file/exit then file/close versus just clicking the X to close ACT!.
