ACT Will Not Open

Last week we had to re-load the operating system on a Dell Laptop, running Windows Vista.

Yesterday I re-installed ACT on it, including the upgrades.  It is running version 11.1.183.0.  Yesterday after I installed it, I was able to open and run ACT just fine.

This morning ACT  will not open.  I try double cliking on the icon - nothing happens.  I try right clicking the icon and selecting "open" - nothing happens.  I've tried opening it through the start menu and nothing happens.

Any idea what is up with this?  Do I need to re-install ACT again?

Thanks in advance.

Re: ACT Will Not Open

Good. I'm pleased that fixed it.

To make it permanent, right click on the ACT icon again, then click Properties. Now click the Advanced button on the Shortcut tab, and check Run as Administrator.

Re: ACT Will Not Open

Try right-clicking the ACT! icon and select Run as Administrator.

Re: ACT Will Not Open

That worked.  But how can I get it to open just by double clicking on the icon.  Telling this user to right click and open as an admistrator is not an option (ie he'll decided to just not use ACT).

Thanks.
