I run database with a number of ethernet users and a couple of remote users who sync via a VPN connection. I recently updated all machines to 10.0.2. The ethernet users run fine with it but it fails to sync to our remote users. Got on to ACT helpdesk about it and they said to install Hotfix 1 and a patch for the network sync service. I did this and ACT wouldn't open. I've found that the problem stems from when I restart the server a service called Protexis Licensing does not appear in the services menu.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Paul, it should work if you uninstall ACT!, reinstall and apply the patch and hotfix before starting ACT!.
I've tried to contact Sage about this, but the local guys in Australia arn't interested in hearing about bugs from me
