We are using Act! 2010 Version 12...

 

I'm wondering if there is a way to use the "mail merge" function into an Excel spreadsheet, rather than a Word document..

The Mail Merge function will only work with Microsoft Word and the Act! Word Processor.  You cannot have it merge to an Excel spreadsheet.
