I'm aware of the KB article http://kb.act.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/36987/kw/act%20scheduler%20email%20password. but their claim that it was fixed in ver 16.1 is false. This issue was NEVER FIXED! I have ACT Premium for Web v16.2.14 and the password continues to be stored in plain text in C:\ProgramData\ACT\ACT Data\SCHEDULER_FILE.xml even after going into 'setup email alerts' and removing and reentering the email info. If I try to edit the scheduler_file.xml file directly and remove the password, it puts it right back in when ACT Scheduler is opened (or perhaps when a change is made).

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I have also replicated this issue in v18
I have submitted the issue to be reviewed by our product management team.
